Play Outline

TITLE: Pus Pus

AGE: Pre-primary

SYNOPSIS:

John is a sad boy who is wondering about his color because he has seen some others like him in another color. He asks many people why he is red but these people can´t give him an answer. Then the firefighter tells him to ask the teacher who solves immediately his problem, he is in a fancy dress party.

CHARACTERS:

Pus Pus is a boy called John, he doesn´t know what he is and why is red coloured , he looks for an answer
Chef, a policeman, a farmer, a doctor, a firefighter, they try to help Pus Pus.
The teacher is the one who explains what and why.

SCENES:

Scene 1: The boy is sad and the chef comes and asks him what is the problem. The boy explains the problem and asks to the chef to help. The chef can´t help him but tells him to ask the policeman.

Scene 2: The boy sees the policeman, explains him the problem and asks for help. The policeman can´t help him but tells him to ask the farmer.

Scene 3: The boy sees the farmer, explains him the problem and asks for help. The farmer can´t help him but tells him to ask the doctor.

Scene 4: The boy sees the doctor, explains him the problem and asks for help. The doctor can´t help him but tells him to ask the firefighter.

Scene 5: The boy sees the firefighter, explains him the problem and asks for help. The firefighter can´t help him but tells him to ask the teacher.

Scene 6: The boy sees the teacher, explains him the problem and asks for help. The teacher tells him that is an apple and the different colors in apples. She also tells him that he is at a fancy dress party and should enjoy.

Scene 7: All the characters at the party having fun.

  1. Hi Paola, I think your play is quite easy to be performed by young students.
    I teach 1st grade and your play will be great for my students. I will include more jobs to have roles for everybody.
    I like the end: It is the teacher the one who solves the problem. It gives the idea that teachers are wise.

    It´s very difficult to find plays for pre-primary students, but I really like this one.
    Very suitable to practice colours, and education in values. very visual an easy to adapt the argument to different stages. Thank you!

  3. I have found this story interesting and fun to play it with first graders. It´s easy to memorise and you can addapt it to work on different subjects or vocabulary.
